A heavy storm that hit early Tuesday morning affected Buenos Aires and several towns in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area, causing traffic complications as some streets are flooded. According to the Argentine News Agency, Avellaneda was one of the hardest hit areas; for instance, the ramp of a bridge in Dock Sud was affected. There were also complications due to the heavy rainfall that fell in a short time in Lanús and Lomas de Zamora. In some areas, awnings and billboards were reportedly blown down, according to residents. Although the National Meteorological Service (SMN) had reported showers and storms for the afternoon and evening, the rains arrived early Tuesday morning. For Tuesday, the SMN forecasts strong storms for the afternoon and isolated ones for the night, with winds from the northwest turning to the south and then to the southeast, and temperatures ranging from 21 to 32 degrees.
